LIVE @ SF NewTech Meetup

Wednesday’s night event was the SF NewTech Meetup organized by Myles Weissleder. It was a good event with an amazing turnout! (Very likely attributed to Guy Kawasaki’s attendance) Here’s my evaluation:

1) Quality of Presentations: 8.5/10 (Guy Kawaski was half the show. Amazing! Mo Kakwan also had a captivated audience.)

2) Venue: 6/10 - Metreon’s Action Theater. Uncomfy seats, too small for all attendees, not good arrangement for networking.

3) Food: 7/10 - Pizza. Beer. Not enough for everybody, so you’ll have some unhappy faces. (me)

4) Quality/Quantity of Attendees: 8/10 - Incredible turnout! Major improvement from last month.

Guy Kawasaki presented his relatively new, overhyped website, Truemors.com and talked about how it cost him $13,000 to create on $150/month maintenance. He LOVES negative press, so I’ll tell everybody right now that his site is silly but it’s worth checking out :)

Mo Kakwan presented his site, Blabberize, using Guy’s face as an example. Really really funny guy!

Other presentations included Jugglemystuff, Rateitall, and Adperk. Unfortunately, I missed these presentations because I was too busy talking to people outside :)

But overall, this was a major improvement from the last event. I’m interested in seeing how much attendance decreases next month. (because Guy won’t be there!)

Ohhh you sneaky sneaky girl. Posting the picture of me cross eyed. I’m sorry I ditched last night, I was so tired. I just wanted to crawl into bed and pass out.
